May I Suggest a New Hobby?

May I suggest a new hobby?

New Hobby Barb Best Humor

These are a few hobbies I’m seriously considering…

Sleep Eating

Sleep can be oh so boring, so what better way to liven it up? Go on a groggy 2:00 a.m. binge with a banana bundt cake or a bucket of fried chicken – all without the guilt. Sleep eating combines two of my favorite activities… sleeping and eating!

Competitive dog grooming

It’s also pet therapy. Everyone gets a sloppy kiss. Also a few bites and scratches. […]

News and Yous: It's Time for An Intervention

A News Intervention

Have you been overdosing on the news?  (Of course you have.)

Consuming media 24/7?  (You bet!)

Watching, reading, and listening to everything? (Oh, yeah.)

Perhaps you need to go on an Information Diet, Internet Detox, or Facebook Cleanse?

If you are like me, you are ready for a strong bourbon and a boob massage about now. […]

Clown Hysteria: Why is Everybody DOWN on CLOWNS?

Don't talk Politics

Clowns

All the world apparently doesn’t love a clown.

Why the haters?

Clowns: Why is Everybody Down on Clowns?

It seems to be hip to see ALL clowns as “creepy” and zombies as cool.

It’s ironic that zombies streaked in blood and oozing death are deemed benevolent while goofy clowns donned in ginormous polka-dots are most likely evil.

Am I alone, but what’s not to love about red rubber noses, orange wigs, baggy pants, exaggerated make-up, and over-sized floppy shoes?

99.9999999999999999% of Hollywood – and everyone on TV – wears fake hair and too much make-up. So what?

For the record

My favorite zombie is “the tall mixed drink consisting of several kinds of rum, liqueur, and fruit juice.” […]

Summertime Blues: Heat Stroke from Deep Summer Thoughts

Do you have the summertime blues?

Are you feelin’ the heat – or worse yet – the humidity?

Have you been out in the scorching summer sun too long?

FUN MOVIE: “Alice Through the Looking Glass!”

22 Jun

LOOKING for a FUN movie?

LOOK no further than Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass” – the sequel to the blockbuster film “Alice in Wonderland.”

The combo of live-action and animation, exciting visual effects, adventure, surreal set design, fun characters, and lighthearted wordplay creates an amusing entertainment that’s hard to resist.

Screenwriter Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Homeward Bound, Alice In Wonderland, Maleficent) crafted an intriguing tale (loosely based on Lewis Carroll’s book “Through the Looking Glass, and What Alice Found There”) featuring a strong, independent Alice and your favorite witty characters from “Alice in Wonderland.”

You’ll love the clever humor, plus the puns and quips about “time.”

“Alice Through the Looking Glass!” is like a fun party we’re all invited to…

now, that’s my cup of tea 🙂 […]
