I was weaned on The New Yorker Magazine cartoons.

Who doesn’t have a special place in their heart for Charles Schultz and Peanuts?

Do you love cartoons?

Do you miss the Sunday “funnies” you read as a child?

There are terrific cartoonists to discover online. Here are two…

Tanya Masse is Comic Strip Mama. She does a live blog on Facebook.

Love Chicago-based Mark Anderson and his Andertoons.

Loved this Barb, and your suggestions.

When Charles Schulz died I kept the comic from the newspaper. He and Snoopy were at the Gates of Heaven, with a NO PETS ALLOWED sign in the background, and G-d said that this time He’d allow it. Precious and sad. I love cartoons and I’m so glad to find the ones you suggested. We all need smiles and gratitude once in awhile. Thank you. xo

I’m all smiles and gratitude… thank you for sharing, Cathy. (I saved the comic when Charles Schultz died, also. Had it framed and up near my desk for quite awhile. Still have it 🙂

I also love Mark Andersen’s Andertoons; I receive them via email on a daily basis.

As a kid, I also loved Archie and the gang, Garfield and the Far Side. In fact, I still do. 🙂
