Oh my gosh, I remember that we had a complete set of those Encyclopedias (can’t remember their name…for shame)at the end of our hall…which happened to be outside of my bedroom. We were referred to those old things countless times for homework research in addition to using dictionaries for spelling/definitions etc. At the time I hated it but I am now so grateful. I have no idea where those books went. You can build a wall with them. They were huge.

I keep a New Oxford Dictionary on my desk at the office. I like the feel and heft of a book in my hands. I’m going to have an article, Current Lingo, on my blog coming up in a couple of weeks.
